Tyson Chandler Matches Knicks Record With 3rd Straight 20 Rebound Game

We interrupt the next J.R. Smith post to bring you some other breaking news about the Knicks.

Tyson Chandler is really good at grabbing rebounds.

Record-breaking good. The one year anniversary of Jeremy Lin and Linsanity brought a little different magic to Madison Square Garden.

Tyson Chandler had eight points last night, but the real story was his 20 rebounds.

It was Chandler’s 3rd straight game with at least 20 rebounds.  This tied a Knicks record with several other Garden luminaries:

Consecutive 20-Reb Games    | #
Tyson Chandler        2013 3
Willis Reed                1969 3
Willis Reed                1967 3
Walt Bellamy            1966 3
Johnny Green           1962 3
Willie Naulls              1960 3
Harry Gallatin           1951 3

No NBA player in history has done it in four consecutive games.  Chandler will get his shot Wednesday in Washington against the Wizards.
