Cinderella Florida Gulf Coast Upsets San Diego State And Punches Ticket To Sweet 16!

15-seed Florida Gulf Coast knocked off #7 San Diego State Sunday night, 81-71.

The only undefeated team in NCAA Tournament History is now the first 15 seed to ever make the Sweet 16.

Sophomore Bernard Thompson led the team with 23 points, with budding star Sherwood Brown adding 17.   Brett Comer had a double-double with 10 points and 14 assists.

A team once known for the coach Andy Enfield’s wife now has a lifetime of memories and moments with two major victories and one of the greatest mid-major runs in history.

Not bad at all for a program with less than a decade in Division I.  They will take on [new rival???] Florida next week in the round of 16.
