Tim Tebow has signed with the New England Patriots.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, he has signed to be a QB, not an RB or TE.
So, the Bill Belichick signed a bench player. Not much more analysis needed.
Oh, we have to talk about this every second of every day going forward? Okay, I’ll expound.
The Pats decided to sign the former 3rd string quarterback of the New York Jets, who sat behind Mark Sanchez and Greg McElroy during the 2012 season.
Of course, there were a few times where he allowed the Jets to try him at other positions, like Tight End. IT TOTALLY WORKED!
Of course, many, like Mortensen, think that finally Tebow will have no pressure on him as a QB, because he will definitely be a backup. That means no media nor fans will talk about him at all.
Tebow does provide some protection in the punt game. Under his watch, the Jets only gave up 2 blocked kicks last year….before removing him from the assignment…clearly because they had other uses for him…on the bench.
Get ready. It’s June 10th – only 3 months of pre-season Tebow talk to go.
