After 20 seasons in the NHL, there was a possibility that the NHL’s lockout-shortened season of 2013 would be the legendary Teemu Selanne’s final journey in hockey.
Today, via the Anaheim Ducks and Youtube, we found out whether or not that was true:
And with that, there will be a 21st season for Teemu, but it will also mark his final season.
Indeed, for one of the most popular players in hockey’s history, he more than deserves the goodbye tour.
Playing for the original Winnipeg Jets, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, San Jose Sharks, Colorado Avalanche, and back to the Ducks, Selanne has amassed 675 goals (11th all-time), 755 assists (40th all-time), and 1430 points total (15th all-time).
