In a scary moment Tuesday night, New York Rangers defenseman, Marc Staal, took a puck straight to his eye during the 3rd period of their matchup with the Philadelphia Flyers at Madison Square Garden.
The MSG crowd went silent as he remained down writhing in pain while trainers rushed onto the ice.
The New York Rangers defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 Tuesday night for their 2nd straight victory, sending their record back to .500 at 3-3. Henrik Lundqvist had perhaps his best performance of the 2013 season, only giving up a goal midway through the 3rd and the Blueshirts were boosted from goals by Michael Del Zotto and Ryan Callahan at MSG.
But it is the injury to Captain Cally that has everyone worried.
Marian Gaborik completed the first Hat Trick of the season and Taylor Pyatt added another in a Rangers victory over the Bruins, Thursday night.
After two straight losses, New York found a way to finally break through early – with Gaborik scoring two goals in the first period to stake out an early lead and stop Tuukka Rask’s momentum.
Moving on from yesterday’s conference and playoff predictions, now we come to more of an individual area of awards and some random predictions I will make that perhaps one or two can come true.
