Much of the Jets focus this off-season has been finding ways to surround Geno Smith (and now, Mike Vick) with playmakers for the passing game.
But in a switch of thought process, the last few weeks of rumors have surrounded not a wide receiver or tight end, but a running back.
That RB is former Tennessee Titans speedster, Chris Johnson. Continue reading
The Jets announced an agreement with Rex Ryan that surpasses the rumored one-year extension that was reported after the season.
While we still do not know the exact parameters of the deal, how does it change the lookout for the Jets going forward? Continue reading
Rex Ryan will be back in 2014 – owner Woody Johnson and General Manager John Idzik announced it as so immediately after the Jets 20-7 victory over the Miami Dolphins, ending a year of questions. Continue reading
The New York Jets enter the Bye Week at 5-4, a record inconceivable to even the most optimistic of fans before this season. The season has been up and down, something that could be predicted with an inconsistent rookie quarterback, but they have several wins over preseason Super Bowl favorites, such as the Falcons, Patriots, and Saints.
And while we too cannot predict how this consistently random season of win-loss-win-loss-win-loss-win-loss-win will go, we should all know one thing: It’s time to make it official and lock up Rex Ryan long term. Continue reading
The Jets enter the 2013 in a weird place. It is both a known rebuilding year and a make or break year for head coach Rex Ryan.
A weird premise for a new general manager to enter the picture, start a rebuild of a team, and keep the previous regime’s coach, but that was the decision Woody Johnson and his new GM made. So Ryan enters this year as a lame duck coach, with no clear-cut way of knowing what standard he has to set to keep his job.
As for what we do know – lets take a short look at the personnel before this season begins and then take a guess at how this season will go. Continue reading
Will it be Mark Sanchez? Or Geno Smith? Or Matt Simms? Or even Brady Quinn?
Do the Jets know? Probably. Do we? Perhaps. Someone has to start for the Jets Week 1.
While we wait for the Jets to make up their minds, here is a way we can all pick ourselves: The new TM4T Blog Jets Quarterback Spinner! Continue reading
The Jets had finally found out who their quarterback was.

And then Rex Ryan threw everything into flux, including, quite possibly, his job. Continue reading

It is far from a shock that Mark Sanchez is not the popular pick at QB for the New York Jets.
But if a report in the New York Daily News is true, the Jets are ready to give Geno Smith the starting job – not for any exceptional game play, but with the mere accomplishment of not stumbling in his next preseason game. Continue reading
On Friday March 17, Jets running back Mike Goodson was arrested and charged on five counts including possession of Marijuana, and possession of a loaded gun with hollow-point bullets.
He was first taken the hospital due to alcohol intoxication before being brought to jail. As of Friday, he had not made bail.
It may have been his first publicly cited criminal activity, but the result has to be the Jets releasing him, immediately. Continue reading
