Jets take on the Cardinals today, who they have had a lot of success against in recent years.

Possibly the most famous game between these two was the game that took place in 2008, when Packers great, Brett Favre, was in mid-season form against the Cardinals.  He would  throw a Jets record, 6 touchdown passes, over the course of the day.

Save the Sanchize: Why the Rams Game Could Be The Most Important Game of Mark Sanchez’s Career

Mark Sanchez has played in a ton of big games so far in his career.  In the first two years, he did very well in them, including big wins he played well in during the playoffs that he still does not get enough credit for.

Last year, we saw a bit of a regression out of Sanchez in the clutch, as well as fewer big games for him to play.

Now we are at a possible turning point in the Jets-Sanchez relationship.  For all intents and purposes, the season will probably be over if they cannot defeat the Rams this Sunday.  It will definitely be over if they cannot come back 4 days later and beat the Patriots on Thanksgiving, but without winning the Rams game, the former is probably unwinnable.

Live From the Meadowlands: It’s Monday Night!

I was in attendance for Jets-Texans yesterday and got to watch the almost-destruction, almost-miracle, almost-Sanchez-led-comeback, definite-killer-interception in person.  Here are a sprinkling of thoughts both on the live experience and on the game itself.

1. First Texans fans sighting

I have seen 3 Texans games so far and this one was the first where there were a noticeable amount of Texans fans there.  They were not nearly as overwhelming as the 49ers fans from the week before, but there were some nice pockets of fans around.  I guess finally fielding a playoff team and being a decade in has allowed this team to gain some out-of-state fans.

2. This guy made a great shirt

Luckily, we only have to stop at step 1 of that shirt.
